Backlinks are incoming links to a web site. As part of search engine optimization (SEO), backlinks have a vital purpose. They show the popularity or relevance of a web site. The more backlinks you have, the better for your site. How can you attract more backlinks? Read on and discover.
Social bookmarking - Backlinks from these sites can increase traffic to your site. Good examples of social networking sites are StumbleUpon and Digg. These sites are very popular and still growing.
Article marketing - This is a great way of getting back links and targeted traffic to your web page. Interesting articles make you an expert on the topic and people will be curious to discover more about you and your site. Generally, article submission sites only permit you to make such a link from your author bio box or resource box. Article marketing is a great way to create credibility with people due to the expertise you exhibit in your writing.
Education links - If you can get backlinks from .edu or .gov sites, then you’ll benefit immensely in your SEO campaign because Google and other search engines respect these sites very much. Links originating from these sites are considered to be of the highest order by these search engines.
Post comments - Posting comments on blogs and forums can give you many backlinks without working too hard. Write quality comments because that will again impress other readers who will, in turn, want to know more about you and your web site. Try to find relevant forums and blogs for posting your comments.
Create good content - Finally, always make it a point to put good content on your web site. Content with relevant information will later make the site very popular and improve traffic. Visitors will love your site for the quality content and share it with their friends.

The Wealthy Affiliate video vault, which is as complete and comprehensive as any found in the business, reveals a lot about “WA, ” which is what it’s more familiarly known as. Even a cursory glance shows that the beginning, the middle and the end of WA revolves around teaching as completely as possible affiliate marketing in all its forms.
Kyle and Carson, the founders of Wealthy Affiliate University, put a lot of effort into creating a comprehensive course that helps a complete Internet marketing (which is the umbrella term for affiliate marketing) beginner start on a path which has as its end point the genuine possibility of a steady and growing income for life, if everything’s done properly.
For a fact, Wealthy Affiliate video training is an integral part of the course, and a key to the viewer’s success. Many newbies tend to make Internet marketing (IM) more complex than it needs to be due to the taking of a scattershot approach, but if the videos are followed that condition is usually corrected fairly quickly and in a logical manner.
The strong suit of any video training program is quickly evident for a number of reasons. Perhaps the strongest is that more than a few studies have shown that most students learn more when they’re shown how something is done, and this is no different when it comes to learning how to market effectively on the Internet. Kyle and Carson’s videos are structured to benefit a newbie as well as a seasoned IM professional.
Some of the topics discussed and shown in that vault are things like how to use the Google AdWords program in a highly effective manner. If you don’t know what AdWords is, you soon will. And its intricacies won’t seem so intricate in due time. Another key area which is extensively covered has to do with what are called “keywords.” Don’t worry if you don’t know yet what they are, because you soon will if you use the videos as intended.
Another attractive feature of the vault is the frequency and speed with which they’re added. Some are made at the suggestion of students and users of WA while others are done at the impetus of Wealthy Affiliate — and Kyle and Carson — itself. Videos range from tutorial (and teaching) in nature to advisory, like how to copywrite effectively or design an effective website.
As far as a Wealthy Affiliate video itself, most normally begin with a problem statement or observation, which a video narrator or instructor will then break down into its constituent parts. This is the preferred problem-solving method, and WA uses it to great effect. In fact, they’re so effective many users report wanting to start doing what they’ve been taught almost as soon as possible after the viewing of a video.
In all, the number of videos geared towards teaching affiliate marketing the Wealthy Affiliate way is hard to determine because there are more added all the time. There’s probably no topic involving IM or affiliate marketing that’s gone unexamined, including PPC (”pay per click”), how to Email market successfully and also how to develop what’s called a “landing page, ” which is an item of great importance in IM.
It’s comforting to note that taking a look at the Wealthy Affiliate video vault reveals such a treasure trove of knowledge. It’s also a good chance that the vault is an extreme comfort to those who are just starting out in the business, which is probably its most attractive aspect.

Without consistent traffic to your website, you will struggle to get the sales for your product. By specifically looking for targeted traffic, that is, people who are already interested, you will increase the efficiency of any marketing campaign. These 6 traffic tools are designed to work for you and generate extra traffic.
A forum is a place where people with similar interests can meet online and ask questions, seek advice and discuss topics of interest. Search out forums online that have to do with your niche and join several. Start a new topic on the forum, comment on other posts and develop a reputation as someone who knows what they are talking about, by adding value to the forum. You are allowed to put your web address in the signature box and so promote your site. Forum users can click on your signature box, visit your website and hopefully buy your product. Forums are a great way to find new traffic.
In a similar way, leave comments on blogs that are related to your niche. Comment or provide answers to other posts on relevant blogs, and again, develop a good reputation. Most blogs allow you to put your web address on the comment, so you will be able to get new traffic from these blogs as well. Be consistent in this, visit your chosen blogs regularly and post comments that add value to other blog posters.
Speaking of blogs, start your own and blog about your niche. Post useful articles, reports and offers, add fresh content regularly and the search engines will love you and improve your ranking. You could start several blogs based on different aspects of your subject, using highly-searched keywords and phrases. This will help you attract lots of search engine traffic.
Tip 4: You can write articles about your niche and submit them to the article directories for publication to the internet. You are not allowed to use articles as advertising, but you can include your contact details and product information in your resource box, attached to each article. It is important to submit multiple articles at a time, to improve the impact of your article marketing. Make your articles useful to your target audience, solving a problem for them if you can. If you are not keen on writing, you can easily and fairly cheaply hire a writer for your articles.
5….. As you research traffic tools, you will come across programs that offer mutiple tools in a package, like Stealth Traffic Tools. These programs mean that you have access to more than one proven tool to help increase your traffic.
A fast-acting traffic tool is Pay Per Click advertising. While you have to pay for a PPC campaign, it has developed a reputation as a reliable, fast and dependable method for increasing the traffic to your site.
Put these 6 tips to work for you and your business and watch the increase in targeted traffic to your website.

In business, quality service guarantees quality results. This is how an SEO firm should deliver its services - it must be able to provide quality service so it can deliver quality search engine optimization results. So what are the results that clients can expect from working with a professional SEO company?
SEO results come in the form of top page results in major search engines, especially in Google, for a wide range of very relevant keywords. It also means significantly increasing traffic towards its clients’ websites as driven by search engine results pages. There must also be a sizeable increase in conversions on the website itself and there should be quantifiable returns on investment which will justify the search engine optimization process as a method for generating profits.
The aforementioned quality results can only be successfully achieved through the delivery of quality services. You might be asking, what does it really take to create these quality results. Any search engine optimization campaign must start with a thorough and strictly adhered-to research process. This includes an analysis of the website and keywords. It must also cover a competitive analysis. Doing so, an SEO firm will be able to determine where its client’s website is right now, where they want it to be, how high the bar should be set, what they need to attain success, and what are the main priorities that will help them gain the most number of successes in an efficient way.
A strong collaborative relationship must also exist between the client and the SEO agency and this should already be established before the whole SEO process begins. Through having this strong relationship, effective and efficient implementation of the different elements of the process would be easier. These include writing content and developing additional multimedia content. After everything is in place, an SEO company will be able to provide its client with a statistical analysis that will enable them to develop steps on how they can optimize conversion.
Indeed, delivering quality service might sound easy and ordinary but it is seldom that you can come across with an SEO firm that can provide you with such services. If you are looking for a reliable firm to work with, check an SEO company’s track record on research, client collaboration, process implementation, statistical analysis and conversion optimization, and pay for performance payment schemes. In this world of competitive internet marketing, quality SEO service is always a must.

With the widespread growth of the World Wide Web a specially designed tool to search through the information available was developed called the search engine. Using both algorithms and human editing the search engine will present results organized in a list consisting of web pages, information, links, and images. These results are viewed by the user after inputting a keyword or keyword phrase in to the search engines search field.
Web crawling, indexing and searching combine in that order to obtain the most accurate results. Mass amounts of information on millions of web sites are stored and then retrieved relevant to the user’s request. A web crawler is also known as a spider, it analyzes every link and indexes all information for faster retrieval.
Descriptions and meta tags are analyzed to determine the type of webpage and its purpose. The meta tags are behind the scenes in the webpage and the viewer never sees them while browsing the page. The search engine uses them as a quick scan to get the idea or theme of the page and then the entire contents of the webpage will be evaluated to ensure the tags are correct and the page is valid.
Companies such as Google store all or part of the source web page, while AltaVista stores every page word for word. The information stored and indexed is known as the cache, it allows for instant updating and keeps the searching filtered with ease. An important factor for a successful search engine is its ability to provide active and useable information with minimal to no linkrot. The cache also saves an archive of a removed source that can later be access by the user after the site is updated.
Search engines will examine keywords entered by the user and obtain a list of organized search results. Summaries may also accompany web links on the results page.
All the search engines look to enhance their performance by ensuring that they deliver exactly what the user looks for. The problem is accentuated by the abundance of web pages containing the keyword or the keyword phrase. However, by using web crawlers and indexing, search engines manage to filter all the sites that are irrelevant to the search being made even if it has the keywords. They have created their own unique processes for examining different web pages and their contents.
Page rank is latest addition in the techniques used by search engines to sort out various web pages and their contents. Page rank decides the relevance of a particular page by studying the correlation between its meta tags, descriptions, keywords used and the content of that webpage. The search engines rank those sites high that have association with high ranked web pages. The page rank is essential for any web page or site as it determines its probability of featuring at the top of any particular search.

If your current chiropractic marketing or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) “expert” hasn’t produced tangible results in 24-48 hours on Google, Yahoo, or MSN, then it’s time to get rid of them! What I mean, is if your listings do not dominate at least 3 of the top 10 listings on the first page, you’re getting “taken to the cleaners.”
I see the average chiropractor making this same mistake over and over. For some reason, maybe just from deceptive sales tactics, chiropractors feel they need to pay between $500-$1500 on SEO for their website every month. The problem is that they’ve been scammed because of lack of understanding and awareness about basic search engine optimization.
Everyone in the chiropractic world is paying a fortune to perhaps end up on page 33! That isn’t anywhere near to the top 3, where you should be. I’ve used a very secret strategy to get at the top of the search engines, and the success that has brought me is unbelievable. Well, my secret is no longer a secret because I’ve coached thousands of students to do the same thing, and their success is certainly no secret either. When I revolutionized this marketing strategy in 2005, it was from the realization that videos have tremendous indexing on Google and other powerhouse engines. It helps to understand why when you realize that Google purchased YouTube for 1.1 billion. Are you starting to see what I’m talking about?
I started to submit my videos to TubeMogul at no-cost, and when I did that my material was instantly submitted to 12 different sharing sites. I didn’t have to waste time uploading my videos individually, and from there things just spread like wildfire. I freed up a bunch of time for myself by doing this, and my marketing plan became so simple and powerful. Then I also harnessed the power of canvassing keywords, and I was on the top of the search engines.
In this whole process, you might be wondering how much money I spent. The answer is that I didn’t spend a single dime! Once I stopped listening to the “gurus” and started to learn for myself, I was amazed by how wrong they all were. I now had a mission to create tons of videos and blanketing the search engines with all my material. I was on the top spots of Google a lot. Pretty impressive, huh?
I thought things were as good as they could possibly be, until I discovered a video sharing service that made TubeMogul look like a bread factory. My output was multiplied by 10, all with the click of a button. Like magic, in one moment I was on 60 more sites than I had been the moment before. Within 48 hours I can get a video at top billing on Google, and this can even happen within 24 hours. The proof is in the pudding, and my proof is right before my very eyes when I see my videos, articles, and website at the top of the major search engines.
I learned awhile back that if I wanted to become massively successful as a chiropractor or in any business, I would have to leverage my time effectively. I knew I also had to create systems to serve the masses. Whether it’s video submission or article submission services for chiropractic marketing, they can leverage your time incredibly while significantly lowering your out of pocket cost.
So, I’ll bet you once thought that it was impossible to get top billing of your information on search engines like Google and Yahoo in 24 hours! Now you know that you can, and it’s absolutely free to you. It’s time to get rid of gurus that milk our chiropractic practices dry and bring no new patients through our doors. It’s one thing to learn about SEO, you need to also properly implement what you know. If you’re ready to take your chiropractic marketing to the new level, then the day to start is today. Instead of sinking in the times, it’s time to grow with the times.

Your web hosting company may not be able to keep up with the speed your business is growing, or your website may not be up to par with meeting your needs. In any case, the best solution to this conundrum is to switch web hosting companies. Before you change your site provider, take the necessary steps prior to the change to ensure that it will be easy, seamless and worry free.
Embarking a web hosting company change will be easier if you stick to your plan. To seamlessly transfer your website from one hosting company to a different company, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to understand, complete and then test each step of the process.
Generally this type of transition requires at least three to four weeks from the initial planning stage to the date your new site is up and running. Once you have completed your research and determined which site you will do business with, you can have your new site activated usually within 24-48 hours.
The first, and most important, step at this stage is to ensure you do a secure and complete backup of all the files on your current web hosting provider’s site regardless of whether or not you have the files stored on a local computer. Backups are like insurance, you never appreciate having them until a catastrophe strikes. So, even though it may be tempting to eliminate this step, you may live to regret it.
You should always back up all important files. These files include HTML files, script, and database and server log files. To increase transition efficiency and simplify file downloads, create a directory structure that mirrors your web server’s.
Once you receive confirmation from your new web hosting company that your account has been activated, you can upload your files to the new server.
You shouldn’t have any problems uploading your information to the new site, considering you already have your files saved in a similarly structured directory .
Following completion of the above steps, you can now run some tests on the new web site in order to verify that all modules are working perfectly.
Once everything is working flawlessly, you are ready to change your old Domain Name Server (DNS) to the new one which would have been provided by the new web hosting company. All that’s left now is for you to sit back and wait for the hits to begin.

Search engine optimisation is constantly moving at an astounding rate. All of the search engines are always updating their algorithm to try to give their users the best possible results.
As SEOs continue to do what they do i.e. tweak websites to put them in front of the traffic thetas looking for them, there are two main viewpoints that arise. Firstly that they unfairly tampering with the results, and secondly that they are fairly tampering with the results in a necessary way.
The fact is, if search engine optimizers weren’t around, then the results you’d get from search engines would most probably be a disorganised mess. Search engine optimisation is necessary part of the results listings because it ensures that the best websites that actually provide what you’re searching for, rise to the top. The vast majority of web designers know nothing about how to get a website to rank highly search results, they almost always miss out the main things that search engines need to read your site. So lots of people pay extortionate amounts of money to have a stunning, captivating and professional website built that is doomed to either be sat in a pay-per-click listing forever, or to just be lost among the crowd of millions of other websites just like it.
We see clients on a very regular basis who’ve been sold flashy and expensive websites as the answer to their prayers, when really it barely has any use at all. Its very common for us to see clients who wish they had spent a lot less on the design so that they had the money to spend on optimising their site instead
What use is a website that no one can find? Even in these difficult times, as footfall starts to dwindle and profits disappear, the more forward thinking site owners are looking to improve their market share. Either by the addition of new keywords or by starting an SEO campaign in the first place, buyers still exist, shoppers are shopping, just in smaller numbers and more cautiously. The question is, are you going to take a larger share of the market and survive or are you going to become a failure statistic?
As more traditional forms of trade begin to suffer, online sales increased during the Christmas 2008 period by over 25% on 2007. Some companies are making money by embracing new technologies and moving with the times, others are going to fail if they don’t evolve successfully to meet the needs of the 21st century consumer.
Unfortunate though it is, but the Internet will destroy the high streets and eventually the majority of physical retail locations. Bricks and clicks companies are increasingly seeing their shops treated as a dressing room in preparation for an online buy later on. In a way, we the people are almost shooting ourselves in the foot because when the shops go, online shopping will be the only method left, which is nowhere near the same experience.
SEO will be driven by retailers needing to save money and increase footfall to both their bricks and clicks shops. It will be an interesting year in which I think we will see some more household names join, Woolworths, MFI, etc on the scrapheap. The big question is……. will you do enough to protect your market share in 2009?

Spam. The very word is almost a four letter expletive these days something that ought to never be uttered in polite society. One place where it should most certainly never be voiced is in the world of internet business. One great anecdote is from Microsoft’s own Bill Gates:
“Like almost everybody who uses e-mail, I receive a ton of spam every day. Much of it offers to help me get out of debt or get rich quick.”
If the pioneer of the individual computer isn’t immune to spam then who is? Now this article is not here to go on and on about what spam is since everybody should know It is those annoying advertisements sent via email. As an alternative we want to show how spam can affect affiliate marketing.
What is affiliate marketing? The promotion and selling of products online by an affiliate on behalf of a company. So one may well logically assume that by “spamming” or sending out advertisements to as many emails as feasible then they will target a vast and huge audience and in turn accomplish more sales, ergo more money. Well this is a tremendously simplified and just wrong view. Indeed Spam can actually hurt your affiliate. Up to 80% of all email these days is categorized as spam’ and many of these occur from affiliate marketers believing that spam is the best way in which to promote, expose and get their product recognition.
What the most likely result of spamming to gain recognition is that the recipient will just delete the message and deter any further messages coming from that email address. So in essence before you have even made your first affiliate marketing sale your email if blacklisted. Certainly not what an aspiring entrepreneur will wish for. Furthermore you may possibly very well be breaking the law. In 2007 Robert Soloway lost a court case which was brought against him by an Oklahoma based Internet Service Provider; they accused him of spamming. He was ordered to pay over $10 million in compensation for his actions.
In the UK in the same year Gordon Dick successful won the sum of 1368.66 against Transcom Internet Services for spamming his email account. And these are not the only two cases on record that have brought spammers to court. Spamming for attention is a faux pas that so many affiliate marketers make. More often than not it ends their affiliate market careers but more serious it can land them in court with a large fine and blacklisted name. If you are interested in becoming an affiliate marketer then you should read “Affiliate Marketing 101″.
“Affiliate Marketing 101″ is a free internet report that provides you with straightforward Do’s and Don’ts that you ought to follow if you wish to be a successful affiliate marketer. Not sending Spam is just one of those. It is highly recommended that you read this report before embarking on your career in as an affiliate as it can save you a lot of aggravation and possible legal trouble.

One of the most popular marketing strategies of this century involves internet marketing a lot. Search engine optimization has made its name known in this budding industry and it has ushered in a new kind of strategy - search engine placement. This new strategy refers to the manner by which the volume of traffic to a website is increased through strategic search engine optimization methods. A professional SEO company would want to take advantage of this opportunity and it will most likely use such a technique along with a well executed marketing plan. This can help a lot in making a website move to the top of search engine rankings using specific terms.
There are many ways by which a professional SEO company can make use of this new online marketing technique. Most popular of these methods include relevance, popularity, and traffic. These are achieved through developing unique and targeted content about the different products and services offered by an SEO firm’s clients.
If you are wondering where you can find search engine placement experts, you need not look further. Any professional SEO agency can qualify as a placement expert but there are some key points that you must remember in choosing which firm or group to work with. Foremost of these points is getting what you have paid for. Beware of offers that require you to make a hundred dollars’ worth of investment and promise millions of dollars as a result. You must take note that search engine placement is expensive so you would need to be ready to pay an expert fee.
You must also understand that this will require tons and tons of relevant, keyword-rich, unique, and search engine friendly content. An SEO company will need to come up with text content, images, videos, articles, testimonials, and even case studies so you must understand that there is no quick fix for failed rankings. Prepare yourself for a long-term task that will most likely require you to wait for 6 months to a year for visible results.
You may well know that search engine placement will require you to be visible in different search engines. You will also need to update these search engines of any changes or developments done to your website. This, along with comprehensive research and a well thought and executed online marketing plan, will ensure that you can stay on top of the game. And with all these tasks, it is best that you get help from a professional SEO firm because you will truly need all the help that you can get.
