WordTracker has been an invaluable tool for me. Wordtracker is a research tool that will give you the keywords you need to rise above your competitors in search engine rankings. It will show you how keyword research can help you discover untapped market niches, get inspiration for new products and create content that distinguishes your site from the other websites.

Wordtracker has a free and a fee based service. Wordtracker provides you with a list of related keywords and the estimated search volume for each keyword. Wordtracker collects search volume data from two search engines, dogpile.com and metacrawler.com which makes several million searches per day. The free version limits you to 100 results per search. The paid version gives you research thousands of keywords. With the paid version, you can import lists of keywords and check their search volume. With the free version you have to enter your keywords one at a time. With the paid version, you can save your keyword projects for later research.

The Overture Keyword Analysis Tool is intended to help optimize pay per click campaigns on Yahoo!, but its also very useful to discover keyword for your search engine optimization. Overture Keyword Analysis Tool will give you the total number of times a search query has been entered into a search engines with-in the Overture network in the previous calendar month. The Overture network includes searches from Yahoo! Search, AltaVista and MSN as well as others search engines.

Overture’s data is based on more searches than Wordtracker’s so in most cases the results for each keyword will be higher. Overture’s keyword suggestion tool is free. It works like Wordtracker but doesn’t tell you how many websites are targeting each keyword phrase, which is an important thing to know.

You need to understand that there are keyword research tools to do everything you will need. Keep in mind that tools are just tools, your job is to learn to use them will skill and imagination. As a web marketers you must be able to go beyond these tools and look at the big picture.

Step 2: Visit Amazon.com. Next, go to Amazon and run a search for your market keywords (like copywriting or making candles). Those books appearing at the top of the search results are the most popular products in the niche.

Step 3: Run a quick search in Google. Finally, enter those same keywords into Google and see what pops up in the regular search results as well as the sponsored results. What are the top sites in your niche selling?

Once you complete these three simple steps, youll know exactly what your market is already buying. And then all you have to do is make a similar ” but better ” product! You do that by studying the competition, finding the flaws in their products, and making sure your product does not include those same flaws.

TIP: You find out a products flaws simply by reading and using the product for yourself. But you can also search online for product reviews (check Amazon for starters). If you see customers repeatedly mentioning a weakness of the product, then youll instantly know how to create a better product.

Master Resell Rights content however may permit you to put your name down as the author of the content, but that’s about all you can get as far as modification goes. The use and reselling of the content is extremely limited. The license will have more details on this, but if your intent is to resell you probably won’t like what it says.

When it comes to choosing between PLR and MRR products, it comes down to what you want to use it for. If you plan to distribute an eBook so that it goes viral and generates traffic to your website, then the best option is PLR. MRR licenses tend to be a lot more restrictive in how they can be distributed, priced and altered.

But, if the MRR license permits you to utilize the content freely, then it’s a great way to promote your business.

No matter what, if free content distribution is what you are after then PLR is your best choice. It’s a lot cheaper than MMR and will give you the option to make eBooks of which you claim to be the author. While you may not actually be the author, you can claim to be with no copyright issues, which is great for you and your business.

If you dont vet the sales process thoroughly, you may find that the biggest thief is the product vendor! Sometimes the vendor is just a new marketer who doesnt know any better. Other times, you may find vendors who are deliberately trying to rip you off.

Here are some things to look for:

* Google AdSense ads on the sales page. Some marketers dont realize that a sales page shouldnt have any distractions, and that the only way to leave a sales page is via a back button or the buy button. Other marketers know exactly what theyre doing ” you send them traffic for free, and they get the money every time someone clicks on their ads. Either way, avoid these vendors.

* Alternative payment options. Another sneaky way product vendors reach into your pocket is by offering multiple payment options on the affiliate landing page. This is only troublesome IF you dont credit if the customer chooses a different option.

For example, if the vendor uses Clickbank for affiliate tracking, then obviously you wont get a penny if the vendor encourages customers to call their orders in.

* Customer service reps that send visitors to a new page. Watch out for this sneaky trick: sometimes when a prospect has a question, the customer service rep (or the vendor) sends the customer to a different sales page. End result? You lose the commission!

3. Find out what loopholes the vendor will use to keep your money.

Heres one last tip: Always read the TOS (terms of service) and affiliate agreement. Sometimes youll find outrageous payment thresholds that allows the vendor to legally keep your money until you reach that threshold! Other times the vendor charges a huge accounting fee just to cut you your check.
