You already know that in order to have a healthy and happy life you cannot have excess body fat and you simply have to lose weight. The best fat loss programs are those that allow us to be ourselves.

Once again in life you find moderation in a balanced approach to be the most effective means for you. It is a fact that drastic and dramatic changes in life do not stick. They are normally a complete waste of time. Make small changes for the best results.

Since you need to lose weight and that involves losing body fat you just need to keep it simple. If you have failed at this before it is most likely because in all innocence you chose the wrong program or the wrong method for reaching your goals. You are not the failure. The program that misled you was the failure.

You simply need your own personalized program

Gain your proper mind focus first. Determine that you are going to have a consistent and methodical approach to losing weight. That will not make the pounds just automatically fall from your body but it is the key to being successful in losing body fat.

For instance, you know a lot about food already. In fact, it might even be true that you already know a bit too much about food and it has become confusing for you. One of the first things that you need to do is to simplify.

Your motivation, or maybe better to call it your conscience, is all that you need in order to make proper eating choices. Once you are determined in your mind to lose body fat your common sense will lead you to eat the proper foods in the proper quantity. It really is not necessary to artificially and arbitrarily limit the foods that you eat on a regular basis.

The same point is actually true when it comes to exercise. You are extremely unlikely to start exercising vigorously 30 to 45 minutes each and every day. You may be able to do that on a short-term basis but that is going to become old very quickly for you. It is much more effective to decide that for the next five years you are going to do a 10 minute a day routine. Simply warm up for five minutes then do vigorous aerobic exercise for five minutes. The next day take your five minutes to warm up then do some type of weight bearing exercise for five minutes. And that’s it. 10 minutes a day is all that you need and anyone can do 10 minutes a day.

These days it is normal for everyone to strive for career development, growth and advancement. It provides a feeling that the hard work they have been doing has paid off and that getting a promotion is really a great reward they can obtain.

But for some whose luck seems to be illusive, they have to discover their own growth somewhere else. That is why most of them opted for executive job searches, where they hope that someday they would be lucky enough to find the executive job that they have long been dreaming for.

But is it genuinely merely luck? Or are there a few components that ask to be considered while exploring for that executive job of their dreams?

Landing a good executive job is not dependent on luck. For people who wish to learn some tips regarding executive job searches, here are some pointers on how to get that dream job:

There is a brief saying that you may have heard, “if Looks could kill” is not an understatement. Although the word kill is only applied virtually and the word looks are some of the times affiliated with stares. But what is being mentioned here is that looks can definitely kill a person’s chances on landing his or her executive job if the applicant had missed one great factor: appearance.

As it goes, first impressions last, so it would be better to make that first impression by looking just right for the job. After all, if a person wants to have an executive job, then, he should dress appropriately for the position. In this way, the executive job he had been searching for might just become a reality.

Regarding the executive position, many companies and employers want to find and hire those who are already an expert in their own field. This means that the applicants had better be skillful in the fields bearing on their chosen careers. This will indicate that the applicant has already begun a logical career path and is already well-educated in the area.

You know it’s just not good for an applicant who claims to be a “jack of all trades but a master of none.” Six out of 10 applicants are hired because of their expertise on a certain field. This only means that employers are more concerned with people who have already mastered their career and have established continuous career growth.

Discovering open executive jobs is going to be one matter but actually obtaining that desired executive job is another thing. Looking and acting the part is a must to landing that dream job!

Google purports to be building their business around the theme that every user receives a “quality experience”. To Google, that means that when a person uses their search engine to find something that the search results don’t come back with a lot of spam sites – sites that are built for the sole purpose of generating Google Adsense income or just redirecting folks to some irrelevant site.

That’s a good goal for them when it comes to the search results that THEY produce. Unfortunately they have tried to take it one step further and are trying to define what quality content means when it comes to how OTHERS do their advertising!

Advertising with Adwords used to be analogous to advertising in the newspaper. In the newspaper, advertisers will routinely use the sports section to target a message for male audiences. Many times the ad has absolutely nothing to do with sports but may be selling automobiles, building supplies, etc. Unfortunately Google has decided that if your ad is not 100% correlated to the search request, then you’re obviously spamming the person who clicked on your ad because they are interested in your offering.

Many years ago Coca-Cola attempted to dictate what their customers wanted. With limited market research, if any, they changed the formula of Coca-Cola to more closely be like Pepsi. Their customers didn’t like it and revolted. The result: Coca-Cola Classic.

Many Adwords advertisers have seen huge jumps in their advertising costs. Their prices have gone from ten cents a click to ten dollars a click overnight. It’s obvious that 99% of businesses can’t make money with those kinds of rate increases. What is happening is that many advertisers have closed their doors to Google and are spending their advertising budget with Microsoft through MSN. Some are even trying out Yahoo Search advertising even though their interface is antiquated and their pricing is way out of line. Many advertisers need to spend pennies a click, not dimes or more, in order to make a profit.

Let’s hope that, even though Google is an immature company, they can see their blunder and return to an Adwords that satisfy their users and not just look for more multi-billion dollar quarterly profits for their investors.

Search engines just can’t seem to get it right. The search engine gurus make ongoing changes to their search algorithms in an attempt to provide quality results for the information that is being requested. The problem is there is a huge number of people and companies that practice SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Rather than spending their time producing truly valuable information offerings, they waste it trying to figure out how the search engines rank their web page and then try to manipulate the page so that it ranks well.

Why do they want it to rank well? Answer - greed.

You see, people use Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines to get answers to questions they type into them - these are called keywords, or keyword phrases. If the largest group of people use the same keywords to search for something, be it a HDTV or a meditation eBook or anything in between, then you need to have your website show up on the first page of the search results in order to get any traffic to your site and possibly sell something. Optimizing web pages to get traffic like this is BIG business! Search engines can’t read and understand the billions of web pages on the Internet so they have to compute various elements of a web page to determine what the page is about and to deem whether or not it has any real “value”. But there are just too many things that are considered and therefore their results are not very good. Here are a couple of things that seem way out of wack to me:

Back Links - Search engines figure that if there are a lot of links to your site, then your site must be popular and therefore have a lot of value. Unfortunately, there are plenty of ways to get totally irrelevant sites to link back to you. There are many automatic link sites and software that also direct links to you. These include:

  • linkmachine.com
  • linkequalizer.com
  • gotlinks.com
  • linkmetro.com

and others.

Another way to generate a bunch of fabricated one-way links is to write articles and submit them to article directories. When webmasters publish your article on their website, your embedded link is a relevant, one-way link back to your website with the proper “anchor text”. Now you know one of the major reasons that the writing has become so poor on the Internet. The authors of the majority of these articles could care less if the information is accurate or reads well - they need to make it “good enough” for webmasters to post on their sites. Since the webmasters are looking for more content, and the authors are looking for more links, then the only one getting hurt is the readers of this garbage.

Headings - You must have your keyword in the heading tag. Why? Who knows. There are many times when the title would be much easier to understand if you actually described what your page is about rather than try to get a cryptic keyword in your heading.

Domain Name Without Dashes - Now here’s a real measure of value. Those sites whose names don’t have dashes in them get a better rating than those that a human can actuall understand! A site like justbowsandarrows.com would rank better than Bows-n-Arrows.com.

Content is King - Todays mantra is “Content is King”. This means that search engines love sites with lost of content - mind you I said LOTS of content, not lots of GOOD content. What this means is that many sites are springing up with the SAME EXACT CONTENT in order to drive traffic to their web pages where they have contextual advertising in place - typically Google Adsense. Search engines frown on duplicate content, but with an RSS feed and a few minor tweaks to the page, the search engine just isn’t smart enough to determine whether or not your articles have merit.

Maybe some day we will get quality results and that sites that have real value will rise to the surface. But don’t hold your breath.

In their zest to make a buck, many Internet Marketers make product claims that just aren’t true.Probably the biggest claim states something like “Make $30,000 a month automatically!”. The crucial piece of this statement that is missing is the part that tells how much it cost to “make” the $30,000.

As a buyer, you want to know what the net income is, not the level of sales. You see, many of the inflated claims are from complete Internet Marketing novices (that should be your first clue that they probably aren’t providing much value for the money they are asking) that hide the fact that they spent $30,001 to make $30,000! They hope to hook you with those fantasic sales numbers so that they will finally turn an profit.

Keep this in mind when you’re searching for your next “make money from home” idea.

Contextual advertising means to advertise “in context” with the information being presented. The advertisment must somehow be related to the information.A newspaper has both contextual and non-contextual ads. For example:

Contextual Advertising Example

You are reading an article about the new Ford Mustang and on that page there is a parts store promoting a set of floor mats that are specifically designed for that model of Mustang. That ad is highly related to what you’re interested in and the odds of you purchasing new floor mats from that store are much more likely than someone that isn’t interested in Fords and skips the article to read about the Chevrolet Corvette.

Non-Contextual Advertising Example

You are reading that same article about the new Ford Mustang and on that page there is a lingerie store tempting you to buy a new bra. That ad is highly unrelated to what you’re reading (although it probably caught your attention!) and the odds of you purchasing a new bra from that store is much less likely.

Manual Contextual Website Advertising

Many webmasters produce articles about a topic of interest (a “niche”). It may be about cars in general, hybrid cars or even blue Mustangs with 4 cylinder engines - the topic is completely up to the webmaster. The webmaster then may sell a product that is completely relevant to their site topic or they may choose several highly relevant products from several companies and advertise them next to their articles.

Automatic Contextual Website Advertising

This is where Google came into its money. Google engineers attempt to figure out what the meaning of a page of text on a website means to a human, and then they display advertisments on that page that are highly relevant to that page of text. This is all accomplished programmatically.

An example of this is the Google ads that show up on this page. They should be highly related to the information we are discussing. Unfortunately, Google does not have this quite right yet (I’m guessing the ads that are being displayed are related to Ford Mustangs rather than to contextual advertising - which means I will receive no advertising income for this article!) so there are times when you scratch your head wondering what the ads have to do with anything.

Anyway, the way it works is when someone reads this article and decides to click on a Google ad to find out more information from an advertiser, both Google and I get paid. We are “partners” in advertising - although I don’t know what percentage of the deal I get but I don know how much I received from someone choosing to click on an advertisement.

Other search engines, that include Yahoo and MSN, are working at becoming better at targeting the page so that the ads are more related and therefore they can be known for better quality searches and pull market share from Google to them.

Actually, at this point in time, you can choose to either make money or earn money on the Internet.

When I say “earn” money, I mean to provide a valuable product or service to customers. When I say “make” money, I mean any of the multitude of “get rich now” scams that are running on the ‘net.

Over the last few years, I have unknowingly invested my time and money in fads rather than long-term trends that build a business. I guess that was all part of my learning process.

For the sake of arguement, I’ll assume you want to earn money. You want a long term, sustainable business that you feel good about (in my viewpoint, it’s not all about the money). Your choices for building a business are based primarily on how active you want to be in your business.

Active

There is a lot of money to be made if you want to be very active and interact with customers on a daily basis by answering emails and solving complaints and other ongoing problems. If you go this route you might want to try one or more of these types of businesses:

  • Create your own product(s) to sell
  • Find a source for products to purchase at wholesale and then resell them
  • Find collectibles at estate sales, auctions, garage sales, etc and then auction them

Passive

There is time and expense required to make any sort of Internet income. It can become quite stressful to spend all your time and investment in your new venture, only to not see income for quite awhile and at the same time your rent comes due. Holding down a “real” job while building your business can provide a lot of stress relief.

Another advantage to this passive approach is that you don’t communicate with customers since you are receiving a commission on the sale and not doing the actual sales fulfillment itself. You have no employees, no customers and no inventory.

If you like this more passive approach to an Internet business, these are some of the business types you might want to consider:

  • Affiliate Marketing Using PPC (Pay Per Click)
  • Affiliate Marketing Using Adsense
  • Affiliate Marketing Using Viral Marketing Tactics

I don’t recommend you waste your time or money performing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) trying to get ranked in search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. The search engines change their search algorithms way too often and there are way too many programmers working to automate SEO so that they can “beat the search engines” for a top ranking. Though the top positions in the search engines provide lots and lots of traffic to your site, you spend so much time and money trying to keep up with changes that you can’t provide valuable products and services to customers!
