Every website owner wants to get links to their site, whether they have monetized the site or not. Why else would you go to the trouble of having a site if you didn’t want people to visit it? If you have a site and are hoping to make money from it, you would do well to get one way link building services and fast results for search engine optimization.

You need to be aware of some things before you choose the service, though. The internet is changing all the time and Google and the other search engines have changed with it. Link building strategies that worked years ago will work against you today. You need to choose a service that keeps abreast of the times and gives you personalized service.

There are a couple of types of link building services you should stay away from. These old-fashioned services use out-of-date methods that will end up being a waste of money or worse.

First we have link exchange services. Not all of these are bad. In fact, the ones that allow users to find relevant, highly targeted legitimate sites to exchange links with can be highly valuable. The other kind, though, should be avoided. These are known as link farms. Search engines completely ignore links coming from these sites. They consider them to be spam. In fact, you will be lucky if your link is just ignored. You could be penalized for using them, especially if you use them aggressively.

Directory submission services are another type of link building service. Many of these attract customers by boasting about how they can submit your content to thousands of directories. They tell you how this will dramatically increase your search engine results. In fact, though, the search engines only rank a small handful of these article directories because they know that most of them are only there to collect links. They are considered spam sites and ignored. That may be good, because if your site suddenly has a rush of inbound links, the search engines will automatically assume most of those links are spam links.

Don’t be too hungry. You have to be willing to grow your site step by step. The best services use this approach and help you to build your links like a strong structure. They will pay attention to your personal needs and earn their money. They will also show you exactly what they’re doing and explain the rationale behind it and you can learn from their expertise.

There are some things that should raise a red flag when you’re looking for link building services. If their own site is a one page hustle that goes on forever rehashing the same message, go elsewhere. They are using a keyword heavy marketing ploy that is no longer effective. If they tell you that overnight you’ll have 2000 fresh links and a flood of traffic, be wary. They are just trying to con you into subscribing to them.

On the other hand, if the homepage is genuinely informational and offers you advice you can use, whether it makes you sign up with them or not, give them serious consideration. They may best more expensive than the others, but they will probably give you value for money. They will probably tell you upfront that you need to make a commitment of time as well as money. It’s much easier to use automated software to make bulk links than it is to actually get results.
